4. Online News
Sometimes you can find a Twitter influencer by search an online news source. I went to news.google.com and enter“expert interview social media marketing” into the search box.
My Twitter posts are about social media marketing. I am looking for influencers in that field. I was assuming that I would be able to find an interview or at least some quotations from an expert in social media marketing.
I opened the first Google News story. There was a quotation from someone by the name of Ryan. Fortunately, there was also a picture of him.
I searched Ryan’s first & last name & clicked on the one that seemed to match the picture in the news story. Ryan had 73K followers.
I added his name, username & number of followers to my Influencers spreadsheet. But then I looked at his posts. They were all about football. So, it was back to the drawing board.
Using a Yahoo! search for his name, city & industry, I was finally able find the right Ryan. He had 151K followers.
